Senior Project & Transition Manager

Function

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project & Transition Manager to join our client’s cybersecurity organization and take ownership of major security and transformation initiatives from inception through operational stabilization. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can bridge project delivery and operations, ensuring that complex initiatives are delivered successfully, fully operationalized, and sustainable in a critical enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project and transition activities, from initiation and planning through delivery, operational handover, stabilization, and business adoption.
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, governance, and delivery quality across multiple workstreams.
• Drive operational readiness, including processes, documentation, tooling, service capabilities, acceptance criteria, knowledge transfer, and handover.
• Coordinate closely with business, IT, cybersecurity, and operations stakeholders, including senior management and executive audiences.
• Ensure alignment with cybersecurity, compliance, regulatory, service management, and business objectives.
• Establish effective governance and apply appropriate delivery and service management methodologies.
• Monitor post-implementation performance, drive service stabilization, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure clear reporting, documentation, communication, and decision support using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365.

Profile

• 20+ years of IT experience, preferably within large and complex enterprise environments.
• 10+ years of project, program, or transition management experience.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale transformation initiatives and successfully transitioning solutions into operational environments.
• Experience overseeing complex initiatives with budgets exceeding €20M and delivering tangible results in critical or high-risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and operational readiness, ideally including Identity & Access Management (IAM), service continuity, compliance, and security best practices.
• Practical experience with methodologies and frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall/Hybrid, ITIL, and COBIT.
• Excellent stakeholder and executive management skills, with the ability to align diverse teams, manage governance structures, and communicate effectively at senior levels.
• At least one relevant project or service management certification, such as PRINCE2, PMI/PMBOK, PM², or ITIL.
• Dutch or French at C2 level (native or near-native proficiency in at least one) and English at C1 level.
• Willingness to work onsite at least 2 days per week.

You combine strong project and transition expertise with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguity, inspire cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams. Autonomy, professionalism, integrity, and strong communication skills are essential. Experience with CISSP, ISO/IEC 27001, or quantitative risk analysis techniques such as Monte Carlo analysis is considered a strong asset. Experience in cybersecurity, critical operational environments, large-scale transformations, and executive-level stakeholder management will be particularly valued.
