Senior SAP Domain Architect

Function

We’re looking for a Senior SAP Domain Architect to join our client’s team and take a leading role in a large-scale enterprise transformation program. In this strategic position, you will shape the future SAP landscape within a greenfield S/4HANA environment, driving standardization, efficiency, and digital innovation across multiple business domains. This is a high-impact role requiring both deep technical expertise and strong stakeholder leadership.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior SAP Domain Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of complex SAP solutions while ensuring alignment with long-term business strategy:

• Architectural Leadership
  • Define and drive target architectures for large-scale S/4HANA implementations
  • Lead full lifecycle programs from design through deployment, ensuring scalable and future-proof solutions
• Domain Ownership
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for key domains such as Record-to-Report (FICO, Group Reporting), Quote-to-Cash (SD, Revenue Accounting), and Master Data/Finance (Business Partner, FICA)
  • Ensure consistency and integration across financial and operational processes
• Integration & Ecosystem Design
  • Architect integrations between SAP and external platforms (e.g. CRM, procurement, and industry-specific solutions)
  • Ensure robust and efficient financial data flows across systems
• Governance & Enterprise Architecture
  • Apply enterprise architecture methodologies and tools (e.g. ADOIT, ARIS) for modelling, analysis, and governance
  • Guarantee compliance, scalability, and alignment with enterprise standards
• Stakeholder & Team Leadership
  • Lead workshops with senior stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, and Sales
  • Translate business requirements into actionable architecture roadmaps
  • Guide and influence cross-functional teams of SAP consultants, ensuring alignment with target solutions
• Project Delivery
  • Oversee project execution using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Xray, and Solution Manager
  • Manage initiatives with full or partial financial scope, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery

Profile – The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 15 years of hands-on SAP implementation experience, with deep expertise in S/4HANA
• Proven track record as a Domain Architect on at least one full lifecycle S/4HANA transformation
• Strong functional and configuration knowledge in FICO and FICA, with integration across modules such as MM, SD, PP, and PM
• Demonstrated experience in complex environments, ideally within regulated or asset-intensive industries
• Expertise in SAP Business Partner and Contract Accounts Receivable/Payable (FICA)
• Strong experience with enterprise architecture tools such as ADOIT or ARIS
• Proven ability to lead senior stakeholder discussions and influence strategic decisions
• Experience managing and aligning teams of internal and external SAP consultants
• Familiarity with project delivery tools and methodologies (ServiceNow, Jira, Xray, Solution Manager)
• Broad understanding of financial solutions (e.g. treasury, consolidation, expense management, reporting)

Language & Practical Requirements

• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (minimum: one at C-level, others at B2 or higher)
• Willingness to work on-site in Belgium at least 2 days per week

Experience & Expertise

• Strong background in large-scale SAP transformations, including integration with CRM and procurement platforms
• Proven experience delivering complex financial architecture in enterprise environments
• Ability to lead projects end-to-end, including financial ownership and governance
• Demonstrated success in aligning business strategy with technical architecture
