Senior SAP Engineer

We're looking for a skilled professional to join our client's team in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role involves working with SAP technologies and requires a strong background in SAP Basis, integration, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and excellent communication abilities to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

The selected individual will be tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of SAP systems, focusing on a variety of activities that enhance performance and compliance. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing legacy SAP environments effectively.
• Overseeing upgrades, patching, monitoring, and incident/problem management.
• Developing technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Collaborating with offshore SAP Basis teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Implementing SAP security-related activities such as technical hardening and user role management.
• Configuring SAP Fiori and managing OData services and the Fiori Launchpad setup.

The Ideal Candidate

The perfect candidate for this position will have a rich experience and knowledge in various SAP domains. They should meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrable experience with at least one of the following: SAP RISE or SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition (PCE).
• At least 8 years of professional experience in SAP Basis and 4 years in SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
• A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) in a technical management, integration, or platform context.
• Fluent professional communication skills in Dutch, French, and English, with a proficiency level of C or native in Dutch or French, and at least B2 for other languages.
• Availability for onsite presence a minimum of 2 days per week.

Essential Technical Skills

To be successful in this role, candidates should also possess the following technical skills:

• Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori configuration, including SAP Gateway and OData services.
• Expertise in SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM.
• Familiarity with BTP governance and subaccount/tenant management.
• Experience in technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer activities.
