Senior SDLC-DevSecOps Architect

We're looking for a highly skilled consultant to join our client's team, where you'll play a pivotal role in transforming their DevSecOps environment. The client is focused on ensuring a secure, efficient, and self-hosted development ecosystem that aligns with their long-term IT strategy.
Responsibilities and Role
This opportunity entails a thorough assessment and strategic direction for the implementation of a new self-hosted DevSecOps ecosystem. A critical focus is addressing the decline of on-premises solutions and guiding the transition with a robust alternative that meets security and sovereignty requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting a current state assessment of the existing DevOps ecosystem to identify security, scalability, and vendor dependency risks.
- Designing a target DevSecOps architecture compatible with Microsoft stack and existing constraints.
- Evaluating tooling options and making recommendations for alternatives to existing products, including migration strategies and challenges.
- Formulating a detailed transition roadmap outlining the migration strategy and impacts on end-users, development teams, and operations.
- Providing implementation support through proof-of-concept deployments and knowledge transfer.
Technical Skills and Profile of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps architecture, complemented by hands-on experience with self-hosted DevOps tools. Important qualifications include:
- Expertise in SDLC and DevSecOps architecture, particularly within on-premises infrastructure.
- Proficiency with ITSM, ticketing systems, wikis, Git services, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools (CMDB).
- Experience migrating from Atlassian tools to self-hosted alternatives.
- Familiarity with application security principles (SAST, DAST, SCA) and package management tools.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication skills and an ability to engage with various stakeholders effectively.

In addition to the required technical skills, the position demands a candidate with strong soft skills, including:
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic approach focused on business value.
- Capacity to conduct audits and provide actionable insights.
