Senior Sitecore Developer

Function

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Sitecore Developer to join our client's team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and evolution of complex web platforms. This long-term consulting assignment is ideal for a seasoned technical specialist with deep Sitecore expertise, strong C#/.NET development skills, and proven experience delivering platform migrations and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using Sitecore and the Microsoft .NET technology stack.
• Contribute to Sitecore migrations, platform upgrades, and version transitions.
• Deliver high-quality, hands-on development, with a strong focus on C# and .NET implementation.
• Help maintain production stability and provide on-demand support for critical incidents, including 24/7 availability when required.

The Ideal Candidate

• At least 10 years of hands-on Sitecore development experience, supported by a strong track record of delivering complex web platforms.
• Successfully completed at least two Sitecore migration or version upgrade projects.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC 5.
• Demonstrable experience with .NET 6, ideally complemented by experience with .NET 8 and/or .NET 9.
• Practical experience with TypeScript, jQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS, KnockoutJS, and Hangfire.
• At least 5 years of software development experience in the Belgian railway sector.
• A strong implementation-focused mindset, with the ability to take ownership of technical tasks, work in mature development environments, and support live applications.
• During the past three years, have worked exclusively in a hands-on C# and/or .NET development capacity, without managerial or architectural responsibilities.
• Excellent English communication skills, at native-speaker level or a minimum of C1, both written and spoken.
• A structured, detail-oriented approach and the ability to clearly substantiate relevant experience against specific technical requirements.
