Senior Software Tester (AI-ready)

Function

Our client is looking for a Senior Tester and Test Automator to support both a business-critical registration and activation initiative and an AI-driven software delivery pilot. In this role, you will combine strong functional testing expertise with test automation skills to validate manually and through AI-generated scripts, improve test coverage, and help ensure quality across system-level testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional procedures and tasks based on available analysis documentation.
• Design and document test scenarios for the registration and activation scope.
• Review test cases and scripts generated by AI against business stories and acceptance criteria, and enhance them where needed.
• Execute manual testing of test cases and scripts, with a focus on scope, completeness, and correctness.
• Update and refine test cases and scripts when gaps or improvements are identified.
• Compare the coverage and results of manual test cases with AI-generated test scripts.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including demos, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Participate in regular coordination with the AI delivery team and provide feedback on script quality and coverage.
• Expand the test set with additional cases and scripts whenever required.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience testing large, business-critical applications.
• Proven knowledge of formal test methods and techniques.
• Experience with functional testing and BDD-style test scripts.
• Solid background in testing business applications, including transactional systems and integrations with related systems.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and type-based scripting.
• Working knowledge of Jira for sprint tracking.
• Experience with Zephyr for test cycle management and test case authoring.
• Familiarity with Scrum, Agile testing, and general test methodology such as ISTQB principles.
• Nice to have: experience with Playwright, Leapwork, specialist testing suites or tools, and a TDD-based way of working.
• Nice to have: practical understanding of shift-left testing in an Agile team.

Profile

• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Test Automator.
• At least 5 years of experience as a test specialist on large enterprise applications.
• At least 3 years of experience documenting and clearly reporting test results.
• At least 3 years of experience testing enterprise applications with transactional flows and system integrations.
• Ability to take a broad view of business processes while also working in depth on the processes assigned to you.
• Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong analytical and synthetic thinking skills.
• Careful, structured working style with a strong sense of urgency and respect for deadlines.

Practical Information

• Languages: fluent Dutch at CEFR level C2 is required.
