Senior Solution Architect

Function

We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our client’s IT transformation journey. You will ensure that the IT architecture and system landscape continue to evolve in line with business needs and technological innovation. Acting as a bridge between business strategy and technical execution, you’ll make the architectural vision tangible and actionable for development teams while guiding them toward high-quality, future-proof solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Design and implement the evolution of existing application and integration architectures toward a cloud-based environment.

• Capture business requirements accurately and align them with the overall IT vision and strategy.

• Support development teams within a SAFe-oriented DevOps organization by translating architectural principles into practical guidance.

• Clarify the value and use of architectural models, standards, and patterns, and assist teams in their implementation.

• Promote co-creation and shared ownership by facilitating collaboration between technical experts, business stakeholders, and management.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

• Master’s degree or equivalent through experience.

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience as an application architect and 5 years as an enterprise architect, linking business and IT.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an Agile architecture environment (preferably SAFe – Scaled Agile Framework).

• Experience designing and evolving cloud-based architectures.

• Strong communication skills at both strategic (C-level) and operational (development team) levels.

• Autonomous, responsible, and capable of driving results in a complex IT environment.

• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to act as a servant leader, fostering collaboration and shared decision-making.

• Knowledge of the Belgian social security system for self-employed workers, especially pension calculations, is a plus.

Language Skills

The candidate should be a native speaker of either Dutch or French and able to communicate fluently in the other national language, both spoken and written. Reading and understanding English technical documentation is essential.
