Senior Solution Architect GIS

Function

We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our client’s architecture team in the context of large-scale standardization and digitalization initiatives. This is a key role within a strategic transformation journey, where you will help shape the future digital landscape of a complex, asset-driven organization operating in the utilities sector. You will collaborate closely with fellow Solution and Enterprise Architects and align with both domain architecture leadership and business stakeholders.

Role

As Solution Architect with a strong focus on Enterprise GIS, you will strengthen the existing architecture team and take ownership of architectural design within GIS-driven environments. You will translate business needs into scalable, future-proof solutions and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and long-term digital strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate end-to-end solution architectures within an Enterprise GIS environment

• Collaborate with Solution and Enterprise Architects to define the future digital architecture landscape

• Align architectural designs with domain architecture and business objectives

• Apply and maintain architectural modeling standards and best practices

• Contribute to standardization and digital transformation initiatives

• Engage with stakeholders to ensure architectural clarity, feasibility, and alignment

Profile

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect

• Demonstrated architectural experience within a GIS environment

• Strong hands-on experience with ESRI products, including ArcGIS Pro

• Experience within the utilities sector is required

• Knowledge of and experience with modeling techniques and frameworks such as Archimate, TOGAF, UML, and tools like Sparx EA

• Experience with SAP LeanIX

• Strong analytical and communication skills, demonstrable during interview

• Native-level Dutch (CEFR C2 required)
