Senior Storage Engineer

Function

We’re looking for a Senior Storage Engineer Consultant to join our client’s infrastructure team and play a key role in designing, maintaining, and evolving enterprise storage environments. This position requires deep expertise in modern storage technologies and architecture, combined with the ability to lead initiatives and collaborate with multiple stakeholders. The role includes a regular on-site presence in Brussels (approximately once per week).

Role & Responsibilities
As a Senior Storage Engineer, you will contribute to the stability, scalability, and evolution of our client’s storage platforms while supporting long-term infrastructure strategy.

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage solutions across file, block, and object storage environments

• Manage and optimize SAN infrastructure and ensure high availability and performance

• Contribute to the definition of future storage architectures aligned with evolving market technologies and best practices

• Lead or support infrastructure projects related to storage modernization, optimization, and integration

• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient storage services

• Provide expert guidance on storage technologies and infrastructure improvements

Profile – The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for a senior infrastructure expert with extensive experience in storage environments and a collaborative mindset.

• More than 15 years of experience working in enterprise storage environments

• Strong expertise in storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, vSAN, and Storage Spaces Direct

• Experience with enterprise storage systems such as NetApp

• Solid understanding of storage architecture and infrastructure strategy

• Ability to lead technical initiatives and communicate effectively with various stakeholders

• Client-focused mindset and strong team collaboration skills within an existing team of storage specialists

• Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is preferred, with native-level proficiency in at least one of these languages
