Senior System Administrator

Function

We're seeking a skilled consultant to join our client's team, dedicated to enhancing the organization's software and systems infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate within a dynamic team, focusing on server environment reliability, performance, and modernization, while engaging with experts across telecommunications interception, infrastructure engineering, and IT operations.

Responsibilities

Your mission will encompass a range of vital tasks including:

• Administering and maintaining Windows/Linux server environments.
• Managing GPO, DNS, and DHCP systems.
• Overseeing Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Monitoring and optimizing various virtualization platforms such as VMware, Proxmox, and Hyper-V.
• Ensuring system security through patch management, backups, and business continuity strategies.
• Contributing to the design of scalable system architectures.
• Automating recurring tasks using scripting tools like Python, PowerShell, and Ansible.
• Collaborating with network and security teams to guarantee end-to-end system reliability.

Profile - The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 7 years of experience in system administration (Windows and Linux), combined with a strong background in virtualization, storage, and security. Expertise in cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and solid scripting capabilities in PowerShell, Bash, and Python are desirable. You'll also possess:

• Extensive knowledge of infrastructure components including network, security, and identity management.
• Proven experience in managing Active Directory and large-scale infrastructure migrations.
• A Bachelor's or master’s degree in IT or equivalent professional background.
• Strong analytical skills and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn and explore new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in Dutch or French, and a good command of English.
• Ability to operate discreetly and reliably within critical environments.
