Senior System Engineer

Function

For a long-term project in the healthcare sector, we are looking for a hands-on System Engineer with solid experience in field engineering, onsite support, and workplace-focused IT environments.

This role requires a strong technical support background and a proactive, service-oriented mindset. You will be responsible for providing high-quality onsite IT support to end users and ensuring the continuity, stability, and performance of the local IT environment. The position is full-time onsite in Bruges.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support to end users for hardware, software, and workplace-related issues

• Perform field engineering tasks and intervene directly on location when technical support is required

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment

• Support and maintain Windows-based environments

• Manage and support devices through Microsoft Intune

• Handle user administration, access rights, and policy-related tasks within Active Directory

• Resolve incidents and service requests in a structured and efficient way

• Support device rollouts, replacements, updates, and migration activities

• Ensure a reliable and user-focused IT support service in a professional onsite environment

• Collaborate with internal IT teams and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations

Profile

• Proven experience as a System Engineer, Field Engineer, Support Engineer, or in a similar technical support role

• Strong experience in onsite support and/or field engineering

• Good knowledge of Windows environments

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune

• Experience with Active Directory administration and support

• Background in end-user support within a professional IT support environment

• Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, solution-oriented mindset

• Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with others

• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented attitude
