Senior Test Automation Engineer

We're looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our client's dynamic team within a transformative environment. Here, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of digital solutions designed for enterprise clients. Responsibilities

In this role, you will be integral to the end-to-end quality assurance process, ensuring that every software release meets high standards. Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning quality from code inception through to deployment, ensuring every feature meets rigorous standards.
• Designing smart tests rather than just following existing plans; defining the scope and priorities of testing efforts.
• Automating test cases using Java (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber) to accelerate delivery and reduce repetitive tasks.
• Using your analytical skills to interpret test results and provide actionable insights for quick decision-making.
• Identifying and addressing bugs or bottlenecks by working closely with the development team.
• Ensuring continuous integration and deployment processes run smoothly by weaving test automation into the pipeline.
• Building and maintaining robust test frameworks capable of evolving with project demands.
• Documenting processes and results comprehensively, creating a valuable resource for the team.
• Applying ISTQB standards to maintain high-quality testing practices.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in relevant roles, demonstrating both technical and soft skills necessary for collaboration and improvement in Agile projects. Essential technical skills include:

• Proficient in Selenium with Java, alongside BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin).
• Experience in creating comprehensive test plans and executing automated tests across multiple environments.
• Familiarity with integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across various systems.
• Ability to maintain scalable and effective automated test frameworks and document processes.
• Knowledge of testing standards, particularly ISTQB.

Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of Dutch or French is considered a plus. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, is required.
