Senior Tester

Function

We're looking for an experienced Senior Tester to join our client's testing and quality assurance team. You will contribute to the delivery of business-critical applications that support workforce planning, scheduling and competency management within a complex operational environment. Working alongside test specialists, automation engineers, performance testers and test coordinators, you will play a key role in safeguarding software quality and ensuring reliable, high-performing solutions that support essential business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute testing activities across the full software development lifecycle.
• Design, prepare and execute functional, integration, regression and end-to-end test scenarios.
• Analyse business requirements, user stories and functional specifications to identify test conditions and quality risks.
• Coordinate testing efforts with developers, analysts, product owners and other stakeholders.
• Validate interfaces, integrations and data exchanges between systems.
• Support defect management processes, including root cause analysis and follow-up activities.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives and the continuous improvement of testing practices.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout Agile delivery cycles.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, reporting and quality governance activities.
• Support the adoption of innovative testing approaches and tools, including AI-driven testing methodologies.

Your Profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software testing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience testing operational planning or workforce management systems within a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Strong experience throughout the complete quality assurance and testing lifecycle within Agile/Scrum projects.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Playwright
  • TypeScript
  • Postman
  • SOAP and REST APIs
  • SQL
  • GitHub
• Experience testing complex system integrations and interfaces.
• Proven expertise in test automation and test coordination.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and challenge requirements, user stories and functional specifications.
• Experience with requirements engineering is considered a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with test management and collaboration tools such as:
  • Azure DevOps
  • Jira
  • Xray
  • Confluence
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve testing quality, efficiency and coverage is highly valued.

Qualifications & Requirements

• ISTQB Foundation certification or higher.
• ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
• Excellent communication skills in English (minimum C1 level).
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and/or French (minimum C1 level).
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary Agile teams.
• Willingness to work predominantly on-site at the client's location, depending on project requirements.
