Senior Typescript Developer

We're looking for a skilled consultant to join our client's team, where you will play a vital role in enhancing their software ecosystem. Your contributions will ensure that their complex network of logistical solutions operates seamlessly, connecting physical devices with digital interfaces. This role will require you to navigate through backend services, frontend applications, and IoT integrations, supporting the installation of a modern architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications utilizing TypeScript, Node.js (Next.js framework), and Angular.
• Build and optimize backend services and APIs for interaction with hardware and central systems.
• Create user-friendly front-end applications for both internal operations and customer engagement.
• Integrate and manage IoT devices, employing protocols such as MQTT for communication.
• Oversee PostgreSQL database design and maintenance, focusing on performance, reliability, and data integrity.
• Engage in cloud development, particularly with AWS services.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, prioritizing scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Implement solutions for event-driven and real-time communication to facilitate locker-device interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners and hardware engineers.
• Maintain high code quality through comprehensive code reviews and testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed systems.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience with TypeScript in both frontend and backend applications.
• A strong background in Node.js for scalable API development.
• Solid expertise with Angular for web application development.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including data modeling and performance tuning.
• A familiarity with IoT systems and device communication protocols.
• Experience in working with RESTful APIs and understanding real-time communication patterns.
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures, with CI/CD and DevOps experience as a plus.

Soft Skills

In addition to technical qualifications, strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking are essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively mentor junior developers.

English and Dutch fluency are required for this position, and work will be conducted primarily from the office in Brussels at least three days a week.
