Senior UX Designer

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced UX Designer to help shape intuitive digital experiences and continuously improve the usability of its applications and websites. This role places a strong emphasis on user-centered design, accessibility, and the ongoing evolution of a design system that supports consistent and high-quality digital interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to needs analysis by understanding users, their environment, and the functional requirements of the applications.
• Define and plan user research methods, and support participant recruitment for activities such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, and usability tests.
• Translate insights into the most appropriate solution and design low- and high-fidelity interfaces using a mobile-first approach.
• Support analysts and developers in the design of user interfaces and ensure the final application meets user and environmental requirements.
• Ensure that interface and visual design comply with accessibility standards.
• Maintain and further develop the design system by keeping components, patterns, and guidelines consistent, accessible, and up to date.
• Help teams apply the design system correctly and contribute actively to its ongoing evolution.
• Maintain regular, effective communication with clients and project teams throughout the assignment.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in UX design, including the design, management, and maintenance of design systems.
• Hands-on experience with Axure, Conceptboard, Figma, and Mentimeter.
• Solid understanding of WCAG 2.1 and accessibility-focused design principles.
• Experience creating low- and high-fidelity prototypes.

Profile

• Confirmed-level UX Designer with a proven track record in user interface and user experience design.
• Comfortable working across research, prototyping, accessibility, and design system maintenance.
• Strong collaborator who communicates clearly with both clients and delivery teams.
• Portfolio is mandatory; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Practical Information

• Languages: fluent Dutch, fluent French, and active knowledge of English.
