Senior UX Designer

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced UX Designer to help shape intuitive digital solutions within a multidisciplinary product environment. In this role, you will work closely with product owners, developers, and other specialists to translate user needs into effective interfaces, scalable design patterns, and practical designs that can be delivered within an agile sprint setting.

Responsibilities

• Gather and interpret user needs and translate them into interaction models and functional concepts.
• Design user-friendly web and mobile interfaces, with a strong understanding of when to apply common interface patterns.
• Plan, conduct, and analyze user testing to validate design decisions.
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to deliver long-term concepts and designs in an agile workflow.
• Contribute to existing design standards and support the structured evolution of design systems.
• Work effectively within an established design environment and align with existing agreements and ways of working.
• Support stakeholder management in large and complex organizational settings.
• Lead or contribute to workshops and user interviews where needed.
• Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles in the creation of digital experiences.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Figma.
• Experience with AI tools, preferably Claude.
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, or similar.
• Ability to implement designs in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with responsive screen design and content-driven page design.
• Understanding of agile and Scrum practices.

Profile

• At least 5 years of experience as a UX Designer.
• Proven experience in designing digital products for complex environments.
• Solid experience with design systems, including adapting and extending them in a structured way.
• Strong stakeholder management skills in large, complex organizations.
• Experience working with user interviews and usability testing.
• Comfortable working in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Must-have: Dutch-speaking at CEFR level C2.
• Nice to have: Good command of French to support collaboration across Dutch- and French-speaking stakeholders.
