Senior UX Designer

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced UX Designer to shape intuitive digital experiences and continuously improve the usability of its applications and websites. This role places a strong emphasis on design system ownership, user research, accessibility, and close collaboration with analysts, developers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design user-friendly interfaces and improve the overall user experience across digital products.
• Maintain and evolve the design system, ensuring components, patterns, and guidelines remain consistent, accessible, and up to date.
• Support teams in applying the design system correctly and consistently.
• Participate in needs analysis to better understand users, their environment, and application requirements.
• Define and plan research methods and help recruit participants for interviews, surveys, focus groups, user tests, and other research activities.
• Recommend the most suitable solution based on user needs and project context.
• Create low- and high-fidelity interface designs using a mobile-first approach.
• Assist analysts and developers in designing user interfaces that meet user and environmental requirements.
• Ensure graphical design complies with accessibility standards.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with clients and project teams.

Technical Skills

• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Mockplus, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines.
• Proven experience designing, managing, and maintaining design systems.
• Ability to work with low- and high-fidelity prototyping.

Profile

• Confirmed or experienced UX Designer profile.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design and accessibility requirements.
• Hands-on experience contributing to the evolution of a design system.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• A portfolio is mandatory; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Practical Information

• Languages: fluent Dutch, fluent English, and fluent French.
