Senior VMware System Engineer

Function

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong VMware and Windows expertise to help manage a global IT infrastructure environment. You will focus on VMware vSphere, Nutanix, Windows Server, and Active Directory, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery readiness, security, and optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage VMware, Nutanix, and Windows Server infrastructure to ensure stability and optimal performance.

• Monitor and optimize VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and Windows Server environments, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

• Perform system updates and upgrades with minimal operational disruption.

• Develop and maintain clear documentation of processes, procedures, and system configurations.

• Collaborate with other IT teams and management to align infrastructure with business and operational needs.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant updates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure administration and configuration.

• Proven experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and virtualization technologies.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.

• Good understanding of networking principles and system architecture.

• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, or similar tools).

• Knowledge of System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) is a plus.

• Awareness of GDPR and IT security standards.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within an international environment.

• Independent, stress-resistant, and analytical mindset.

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
