ServiceNow Platform Architect

Function

We're looking for an experienced ServiceNow Platform Architect to join our client's team and take the lead in designing, evolving, and governing a modern ServiceNow platform. In this strategic role, you'll collaborate with both business and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and future-proof platform solutions. You'll provide architectural leadership, drive best practices, and ensure that ServiceNow implementations align with enterprise architecture, governance, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business and IT stakeholders to understand business processes, technical requirements, and long-term objectives.
• Design and define the architecture for new ServiceNow implementations as well as enhancements to existing platform capabilities.
• Develop scalable, maintainable, and secure platform solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and organizational standards.
• Provide architectural guidance, technical leadership, and mentoring to implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Promote ServiceNow best practices, development standards, implementation methodologies, and testing approaches.
• Prepare architecture documentation, validate solutions with security and governance stakeholders, and lead architecture review sessions.
• Maintain comprehensive platform documentation, including architectural models using ArchiMate or similar modelling standards.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements while supporting platform upgrades and long-term maintainability.

Your Profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow Platform Architect.
• Certified ServiceNow System Administrator and holder of at least one Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification.
• Proven experience leading the technical implementation of multiple ServiceNow projects.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise architecture principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise both technical and business audiences.
• Strong documentation skills and experience preparing architectural deliverables.
• TOGAF or an equivalent enterprise architecture certification is considered a strong asset.
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English (CEFR C1).
• Based within the European Economic Area (EEA) and willing to work part-time on-site in Brussels.

Technical Expertise

• Extensive experience with ServiceNow Asset Management, including ITAM, SAM, and HAM.
• Strong architectural expertise in at least two additional ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, SPM, CMDB/CSDM, SecOps, HR Service Delivery, GRC, ITOM, or Enterprise Architecture.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party platforms and enterprise technologies, including Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Dynatrace, and similar solutions.
• Solid expertise in ServiceNow platform security, governance, upgrades, maintainability, and long-term platform evolution.
• Experience with enterprise architecture modelling and tools such as ArchiMate, ARIS, or equivalent.
