We’re looking for a ServiceNow Project Manager – CMDB to join our client’s team and lead the implementation and evolution of Configuration Management processes and the CMDB within a complex enterprise environment. This role goes beyond traditional project delivery, requiring a strong focus on organizational outcomes, data quality, and service alignment.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will define and drive the implementation of Configuration Management and CMDB capabilities, ensuring they meet business and IT expectations. You will work closely with stakeholders and a team of functional and technical experts to translate organizational needs into actionable plans and successfully deliver them across the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Define target outcomes for Configuration Management and CMDB aligned with organizational needs
- Identify and engage key stakeholders, capturing expectations related to configuration processes and data
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of CMDB and Configuration Management initiatives within the ServiceNow environment
- Translate business objectives into concrete project deliverables, including integrations, automated data sources, and discovery capabilities
- Oversee data quality and lifecycle management of configuration items and services
- Manage project scope, planning, resources, risks, and budgets to ensure successful delivery
- Facilitate communication, reporting, and governance across stakeholders and leadership forums
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure alignment between process, tooling, and data
Profile & Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, particularly in software or SaaS implementation environments
- Strong background in Configuration Management and/or CMDB implementation
- Experience with ServiceNow, including CMDB, Discovery, and integrations; knowledge of CSDM is a plus
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and service management best practices
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and steer decision-making
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and evolving requirements
- Familiarity with project delivery methodologies such as Agile, SAFe, PM², PMBOK, or PRINCE2
- Structured, results-oriented, and capable of translating strategy into execution
- Fluent in English and proficient in at least one local language
- Available for a hybrid work setup with regular on-site presence
