Function
Our client is looking for a senior delivery leader to steer the execution of business-critical software solutions within a complex, fast-moving environment. In this position, you will help connect business priorities with technical delivery, guide multiple squads, and ensure that the software delivery process remains predictable, high-quality, and aligned with operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of end-to-end software delivery, from requirements and development through testing and release.
- Manage the execution roadmap and help ensure the timely delivery of scalable features.
- Coach squads to strengthen technical practices, delivery performance, and self-organization.
- Identify and remove technical, organizational, and process bottlenecks that affect throughput and quality.
- Translate complex technical plans and delivery milestones into clear updates for business stakeholders and senior management.
- Act as a sparring partner for key stakeholders across product, technical leadership, agile coaching, and engineering.
Technical Skills
- Strong oversight of software delivery standards and quality practices, including code reviews and automated testing.
- Hands-on understanding of applications built with Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, and Angular.
- Experience supporting teams working with high-volume, real-time data and messaging via MQTT and IoT protocols.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and AWS-based environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD automation, DevOps practices, and scalable, secure cloud delivery.
- Conceptual understanding of modern architectures such as microservices, API-driven systems, and event-driven systems.
Profile
- At least 7 years of experience in a delivery lead or similar role within a complex software engineering environment.
- Proven background in the full software development lifecycle, including DevOps, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience in a scaled agile setup such as Spotify model, SAFe, or tribe/squad structures.
- Logistics domain experience is considered a plus.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented, with solid negotiation abilities.
Practical Information
This opportunity is based in Brussels and follows a hybrid work model, with a strong presence in the Brussels office expected. The assignment is to start as soon as possible.
Language requirements: fluent English is essential; Dutch or French is a strong plus.
