Software Engineer Industrial

Our client is seeking a driven and hands-on Software Engineer for industrial projects to support their state-of-the-art production environment. You will be part of an expert team focusing on the seamless integration of tailor-made industrial software applications within an advanced, highly automated plant. These applications are an essential component of a plantwide automation strategy and are tightly interfaced with equipment, PLCs, MES, reporting tools, and monitoring systems.

Role and responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of industrial software applications, ensuring they operate reliably and efficiently.
• Lead and coordinate small-scale software integration projects from initiation through delivery, collaborating closely with developers, infrastructure specialists, production stakeholders, quality assurance, and external vendors.
• Manage incident handling and resolve software-related issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all activities meet stringent GMP standards, including validation processes and meticulous documentation.
• Cultivate strong working relationships with internal teams from production, engineering, and quality, acting as a key point of contact.

Profile of the ideal candidate

Our client is looking for a professional who brings a strong technical foundation and collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Bioscience, or Computer Sciences—or equivalent through experience.
• Proven experience working in an industrial environment, preferably within manufacturing or production settings.
• Knowledge of databases and industrial networking principles.
• Familiarity with software development practices, ideally with exposure to technologies like .NET, scripting, or DevOps tooling (passive knowledge suffices).
• A solution-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to identifying and driving improvements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Dutch and English.
