Function

We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support our client's ongoing digital transformation initiatives within the public sector. You'll play a key role in bridging complex business requirements with scalable and coherent IT solutions, while operating in a high-stakes environment where quality, governance, and public value are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and oversee implementation of IT solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and business processes

  • Conduct convergence studies during project initiation to ensure solutions meet business expectations, cost-efficiency, and deadlines

  • Guarantee architectural consistency across systems and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR)

  • Document and communicate system architecture clearly to various stakeholders, adapting language based on the audience

  • Ensure architectural models are up-to-date and solutions are traceable and reusable where applicable

  • Support and challenge business needs through assertive but diplomatic dialogue to reveal the true underlying requirements

Tasks

  • Model, analyse, and document complex business and IT architectures using tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect and Prolaborate

  • Develop IT solutions with an emphasis on traceability, data governance, and process optimization

  • Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies early in the architecture lifecycle

  • Supervise solution implementation from conception through testing, ensuring architectural integrity throughout

  • Collaborate with other architects in an enterprise-wide holistic approach

  • Monitor the obsolescence of existing systems and maintain up-to-date glossaries and terminology across departments

Profile

  • Proven experience in solution architecture within complex public sector environments

  • Ability to articulate business needs into comprehensible IT models using frameworks such as BPMN and LABNAF

  • Strong understanding of administrative legislation and public procurement procedures

  • Skilled in stakeholder management across hierarchical structures and conflicting interests

  • Critical thinker with excellent synthesis capabilities and experience delivering decision-ready documentation

Language Requirements

  • Fluent/Native French

This role is ideal for a seasoned Solution Architect with a track record in designing and guiding impactful IT initiatives in complex public environments, especially in domains like justice, education, youth aid, sports, or culture.
