Solution Architect

Function

We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our client's team and help shape end-to-end solutions within a complex enterprise IT environment. Combining architectural expertise with a strong functional mindset, you'll translate business needs into practical, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions. You'll play an important role in connecting business stakeholders with technical teams while contributing to platform modernisation, system integration, and ongoing innovation across a landscape that brings together established technologies and modern application platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions that address business requirements while adhering to architectural principles and standards.
• Support initiatives throughout the entire delivery lifecycle, from initial analysis and solution design to implementation and production release.
• Bridge the gap between business stakeholders, functional specialists, developers, and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of solution requirements.
• Contribute to the evolution and modernisation of a hybrid application landscape combining legacy systems with contemporary technologies.
• Develop solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen platform capabilities, and support technological innovation.
• Design and coordinate integrations between internal applications, platforms, and external partners.
• Apply architectural best practices to ensure that solutions remain coherent, maintainable, and aligned with broader technology objectives.

Your Profile

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a solid understanding of end-to-end solution design.
• A background in functional analysis or functional design, enabling you to translate complex business needs into clear technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and experience with asynchronous integrations.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture modelling, particularly ArchiMate, is an asset.
• Experience with or exposure to technologies such as .NET, Angular, and COBOL is considered a plus.
• An interest in emerging technologies and the ability to identify opportunities for innovation and modernisation.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to process large amounts of information and identify the most relevant insights.
• A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset combined with creativity, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience in the life insurance sector is an advantage.
• Fluent Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Practical Information

• Work environment: A hybrid technology landscape combining established legacy applications with modernisation initiatives involving contemporary application development frameworks and platforms.
• Languages: Fluent Dutch and English are required.
