Solution Architect & Presales Lead

Function

We're looking for a Senior Solution Architect & Presales Lead to join our client's team and take a leading role in designing scalable Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions. This is a senior-level position combining strong technical and functional expertise with commercial awareness. You will act as the architectural and functional lead throughout the sales cycle, from opportunity identification and discovery through proposal and contract award, while remaining involved during delivery to safeguard the architectural integrity of the solution.

Role & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will cover solution architecture, presales, client advisory, and practice development:

• Design holistic and scalable D365 F&O solutions addressing complex business requirements across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other relevant modules.
• Define end-to-end solution blueprints covering integrations, data migration, security, extensions, and overall architecture.
• Ensure architectural decisions follow Microsoft best practices and align with the client's broader IT strategy.
• Assess configure-versus-build decisions and advise on the appropriate use of ISV solutions.
• Maintain architectural oversight throughout implementation, resolving design challenges and ensuring solution integrity.
• Lead RFP and RFI responses, coordinating technical and functional input to develop compelling and commercially viable proposals.
• Conduct discovery workshops, solution demonstrations, and client presentations to understand business needs and position the proposed solution.
• Develop and present solution designs, implementation roadmaps, and ROI analyses to senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with sales teams on pricing, effort estimation, and engagement models.
• Build strong relationships with Microsoft account teams to identify and develop joint business opportunities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on ERP strategy, cloud transformation, data strategy, and digital transformation roadmaps.
• Facilitate architecture reviews, technology assessments, and solution validation workshops.
• Advise on the integration of D365 F&O with the wider Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure and Power Platform.
• Contribute to the development of solution offerings, accelerators, architectural standards, and go-to-market assets.
• Mentor senior consultants and contribute to the continued development of architectural capabilities and expertise.

Profile

The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O with strong solution architecture and presales experience. You are comfortable engaging with both technical teams and C-level stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into compelling solutions and commercially viable proposals. You bring a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to take ownership from the initial sales opportunity through to successful delivery.

Experience with multiple D365 F&O modules, complex integrations, data migration, security, Azure, Power Platform, and Microsoft best practices is highly valued. A strong understanding of ERP transformation, cloud adoption, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem is essential. Experience working with RFPs/RFIs, developing estimates and proposals, conducting executive-level presentations, and collaborating with Microsoft stakeholders will be a strong advantage.
