Strategic Analyst

Function

We are looking for a Strategic Analyst to join our client’s Transport Operations, Data & Planning department. In this key advisory role, you will act as a trusted partner to senior management, providing cross-functional insights, strategic recommendations, and analytical support to guide departmental and organizational decisions. You will help drive coherence across operations, projects, and administrative functions while identifying opportunities for improvement and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct management analyses across all company and departmental activities, including financial assessments, project evaluations, and feasibility studies.

• Support and advise senior leadership (Head of Department, Managers, Team Leads) through data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.

• Monitor and evaluate strategic projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams such as HR, Sourcing, Purchasing, Controlling, Operations, and Portfolio Management to ensure process consistency and efficiency.

• Prepare management reports and presentations, consolidating data from various systems and ensuring data accuracy and quality.

• Contribute to discussions on process optimization and administrative tools, proposing improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.

• Facilitate alignment between diverse stakeholders, reconcile viewpoints, and help guide strategic decision-making processes.

• Provide autonomous end-to-end support for analyses, recommendations, and strategic assignments from senior management.

The Ideal Profile

• Proven experience conducting complex management analyses and developing strategic recommendations for senior and operational teams.

• Strong background in process improvement and change management, including implementation of enhanced internal processes and tools.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings into clear insights for diverse audiences.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple departments and ensuring alignment in responsibilities and projects.

• Highly analytical mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

• Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in dynamic environments.

• Proficient with analytics and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI.

Conformity Criteria

• Master’s degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience (e.g. Project Management, PMO, Strategic Consultancy, or Communication roles).

• Prior experience in a similar strategic or analytical position.

• Professional fluency in French or Dutch, and English.

• Availability to work onsite two days per week (specific days to be defined with management).
