System Engineer

Function

We're seeking an experienced System Engineer to join our client's growing team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of managing and optimizing IT infrastructures for various clients, ensuring they operate seamlessly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on renewal projects and migrations, taking the lead in independently executing a variety of IT projects.
• Collaborate with fellow System Engineers in both daily operational IT management and project execution, leveraging your extensive knowledge and experience.
• Engage with technologies such as virtualization, cloud computing, networking, security, workplace automation, storage, high-availability & disaster recovery, managed services, datacenter operations, mobility, and communication systems.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Exhibits a customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset, supported by a broad IT background, flexibility, and strong drive.
• Demonstrates a passion for learning and staying updated with the rapidly evolving IT landscape.
• Possesses excellent communication and project management skills.

Technical Expertise

Ideally you posses knowledge and/or practical experience with several of the following technologies:

• ITIL Framework
• Virtualization with HyperV and VMware
• Windows Server and Windows administration
• Network Administration and Firewall Configuration
• Backup Solutions with VEEAM and Backup Exec
• Microsoft Cloud Platforms including Azure, Intune, Office 365
