Teamlead JAVA Developer

We're looking for a developer to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues, leveraging strong communication skills to articulate your ideas while remaining open to feedback and new perspectives. Your passion for learning drives you to explore innovative methodologies rather than just following the latest trends.

Responsibilities

As part of a development squad, you will play a key role in enhancing our client's service offerings by developing new services and functionalities while managing and maintaining the existing portfolio. Your primary tasks will include:

• Building and further developing new services
• Resolving defects in existing services
• Implementing changes to services
• Adding new functionalities
• Collaborating on projects focused on optimization and modernization

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has relevant experience in developing Java-based applications and has a solid educational background, with certifications or equivalent practical experience in programming languages such as Java/J2EE. Key qualifications include:

• Proven experience in REST and SOAP
• Experience with the Spring framework
• Experience in leading development teams and coaching developers
• Proficiency in coding, testing, and debugging tasks
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in a leading role
• Fluency in both Dutch (CEFR Level C2) and English

Desired Skills and Additional Information

In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience with authentication/authorization protocols, clean coding practices, and familiarity with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Scrum, JIRA, or Confluence will be considered an asset. A higher education degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent experience is preferred. Soft skills like being a team player, efficiency, and analytical capability are also important for this role.

Interviews will be conducted within two weeks following the submission deadline. Successful candidates will work on their own laptops with virtual access to relevant environments. Please note that compliance with environmental objectives is required as part of the project financing.
