We’re looking for a Technical Lead GIS Specialist to join our client’s high-impact infrastructure and real-time operations environment. In this role, you will take the lead in designing and managing advanced geospatial solutions that support large-scale transportation and operational projects. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on GIS expert who combines strong technical expertise with coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and optimization of GIS solutions for complex infrastructure projects;
- Manage geospatial data collection, analysis, visualization, and integration processes;
- Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to map transportation networks, infrastructure layouts, and operational assets;
- Support route and network optimization initiatives using spatial analysis techniques;
- Develop and maintain geospatial databases related to infrastructure assets such as tracks, signaling systems, tunnels, bridges, and other operational components;
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, contractors, and operational partners;
- Ensure data quality, compliance with standards, and adherence to operational and safety requirements;
- Contribute to project planning, reporting, and technical decision-making.
Technical Environment & Expertise
Our client is seeking a GIS professional with strong experience in:
- ArcGIS technologies, including:
- ArcGIS Desktop
- ArcGIS API
- ArcGIS Server
- ESRI Suite
- Geoserver and Geodatabase development;
- Spatial data management and GIS architecture;
- GIS-related development using .NET and/or Python;
- Working within operational or infrastructure-focused environments.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geoscience, Aeronautics, or a related technical field;
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with ArcGIS and ESRI technologies;
- ESRI certification is required;
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Experience coordinating technical projects and multidisciplinary teams;
- Knowledge of transportation or railway infrastructure, signaling systems, or track alignment is considered a strong asset;
- Fluent English communication skills at minimum CEFR B2 level;
- Knowledge of Dutch or French at CEFR B2 level is a plus.
