Technical Project Manager

Function

We're looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our client's team and lead the successful delivery of technical infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex initiatives from planning through implementation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, external suppliers, and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, including project initiation, planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, delivery, and project closure.
• Define project scope, estimate resources and implementation costs, monitor risks and issues, and ensure timely escalation where required.
• Coordinate internal project teams, external contractors, and multiple suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
• Prepare and validate technical studies, functional specifications, tender documentation, and supplier proposals for infrastructure-related projects.
• Monitor project progress, financial performance, resource allocation, and deliver regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure effective project handover, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and training for operational and support teams.
• Provide third-line support during critical technical incidents by coordinating stakeholders, analysing issues, and driving resolution.
• Maintain a clear overview of ongoing projects while ensuring effective communication with both technical and business stakeholders.

Your Profile

You have at least 5 years of experience managing technical projects within building automation, telecommunications, electrical infrastructure, or a related technical environment. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification through experience. You have hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: structured cabling, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, or fire detection systems. You are familiar with IT network infrastructure, basic ARAB/AREI standards, and recognised project management methodologies such as PM², PRINCE2, PMBOK, or similar. You are comfortable managing projects with budgets ranging from €100K to €5M, coordinating multiple suppliers, and using Microsoft Excel and the MS Office suite in a professional setting. Fluency in French (C1) is required, together with professional knowledge of Dutch or English (minimum B2). You are also willing to travel regularly to operational sites in Wallonia and Brussels.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in project risk and change management, contractor coordination, financial follow-up, and stakeholder management within technical environments. You are experienced in joining ongoing projects, producing technical studies and specifications, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and resolving technical incidents in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential to succeed in this role.
