Technical Transition Coordinator

Function

We’re looking for a highly experienced Technical Transition Coordinator to support our client during a strategic managed services renewal covering cloud, on-premises infrastructure, networking, colocation, and monitoring environments. This role is critical in orchestrating the controlled transition of services, systems, and operational responsibilities between teams and outsourcing partners, ensuring business continuity and structured execution.

Role Overview

• Act as the central coordination point between internal technical teams and external service providers

• Report directly to the Infrastructure Manager

• Orchestrate end-to-end transitions of infrastructure services and responsibilities

• Ensure alignment with SLAs, contractual scope, and business objectives

• Safeguard service continuity during all transition phases

Key Responsibilities

Transition Planning & Coordination

• Develop and maintain detailed transition plans, timelines, and structured checklists

• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of technical services and providers

• Manage complex workstreams using structured tracking tools

• Oversee validation and testing activities after handover

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary contact for all transition-related communication

• Liaise between internal IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders

• Facilitate governance meetings, status updates, and progress reporting

Knowledge Transfer & Documentation

• Coordinate documentation handovers, including technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs

• Ensure asset inventories and configuration records are complete and accurate

• Oversee system access transfers and operational walkthroughs

• Support training sessions during transition phases

• Verify compliance with governance, security, and data protection standards

Risk & Service Continuity Management

• Identify transition risks and define mitigation strategies

• Track, escalate, and coordinate resolution of transition-related issues

• Ensure contingency planning for critical systems

• Monitor early-life support after go-live to ensure operational stability

Profile & Experience

• Minimum 15 years of professional IT experience

• At least 10 years of experience in infrastructure domains (servers, networks, cloud platforms)

• At least 10 years of experience working with outsourcing partners

• Proven experience coordinating transitions between outsourcing providers

• 10+ years of experience managing:

  • Technical documentation

  • Runbooks and SOPs

  • Asset and configuration records

  • Complex transition workstreams with structured planning tools

Language & Availability

• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (spoken and written)

  • Native/C-level in either Dutch or French

  • Minimum B2 level in the second national language

  • Minimum B2 level in English
