Technical Transition Coordinator
Function
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Transition Coordinator to join our client’s large-scale infrastructure transformation program. In this strategic role, you will oversee and coordinate the transition of critical IT services across cloud, on-premise, network, colocation, and monitoring environments. Acting as the central point of coordination between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external service providers, you will ensure seamless transitions, operational continuity, and effective knowledge transfer throughout the lifecycle of the engagement.
The Role
As Technical Transition Coordinator, you will lead and structure complex transition activities in a multi-vendor environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all migration and handover activities are delivered in line with agreed timelines, governance standards, and operational requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining detailed transition and transformation plans, timelines, and checklists
- Coordinating onboarding and offboarding activities across teams and providers
- Managing communication between internal stakeholders, operational teams, and external partners
- Organizing transition governance meetings, status updates, and readiness assessments before cutover
- Coordinating documentation transfers, access handovers, process walkthroughs, and training sessions
- Ensuring technical knowledge is properly captured and transferred to relevant support teams
- Identifying transition risks, defining mitigation plans, and escalating blockers impacting timelines or service stability
- Supporting contingency planning and ensuring business continuity throughout the transition phases
- Coordinating post-transition testing, validation activities, and early-life support after go-live
- Verifying that operational documentation, asset inventories, configuration records, runbooks, and SOPs are complete and aligned with contractual obligations and governance requirements
Ideal Candidate
Our client is seeking a senior infrastructure transition professional with a strong background in outsourcing environments and large-scale IT operations. You combine excellent coordination skills with solid technical understanding and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
The ideal candidate brings:
- Minimum 15 years of overall IT experience
- Strong experience managing transitions between outsourcing or managed service providers
- Solid expertise within IT infrastructure environments, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and operational services
- Proven experience coordinating technical documentation, runbooks, SOPs, asset inventories, and configuration management activities
- Extensive experience managing complex workstreams using structured planning and tracking methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English (minimum B2 level) and either Dutch or French, both written and spoken
