Test Coordinator

Function

We’re looking for an experienced Test Coordinator to join our client’s delivery organization and take a leading role in shaping, steering, and continuously improving testing activities across complex initiatives. You will act as a key interface between business stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners, ensuring high-quality outcomes through strong governance, clear communication, and pragmatic risk management.

Responsibilities

• Test strategy and planning: define approach, scope, objectives, timelines, and resource needs in alignment with overall delivery plans; develop and maintain an end-to-end test strategy in collaboration with partners; coordinate the integration of automated testing into the overall framework.

• User Acceptance Testing: organize, coordinate, and supervise UAT activities; ensure test environments and data are properly prepared and available according to schedules.

• Quality assurance and continuous improvement: oversee test case design, execution, and coverage; manage the full defect lifecycle in collaboration with development and business teams; validate partner deliverables through sample testing; proactively propose and implement testing improvements.

• Team leadership and stakeholder collaboration: lead onshore and offshore testers, assign tasks, and provide coaching; act as primary contact for Project Managers, Business Analysts, developers, testers, and partners; translate business requirements into clear test plans and strategies.

• Governance, metrics, and reporting: define and enforce testing standards and methodologies; monitor progress and quality metrics; produce concise dashboards and contribute to Go/No-Go decisions; assess the impact of project changes on testing scope and resources.

Profile of the ideal candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, with ISEB/ISTQB certification.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in senior testing roles such as Test Coordinator, Test Manager, QA Lead, or UAT Lead, including at least 5 years of hands-on functional testing and 3 years leading test strategy and execution.

• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile ways of working, with proven experience in distributed or offshore environments.

• Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, TestRail, Postman, and SQL.

• Strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams; good understanding of test automation principles.

Added value and practicalities

• Experience in regulated or operational environments (e.g., transport or similar) is a strong asset, as is an interest in test automation and collaboration with automation specialists.

• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French (full professional proficiency).

• Team player, self-motivated, and able to work independently with clear ownership.

• On-site presence in Belgium is required two days per week.
