Join Our Client’s Team as a Test Engineer

We are searching for an experienced Test Engineer to join our client’s team and play a key role in a critical data migration project. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in testing data migration strategies, validating migration processes, and supporting platform transformation efforts. This position requires strong skills in documenting processes, handling large datasets, and coordinating testing activities with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing Data Migration Strategies: Develop and execute detailed test plans for migration scenarios, ensuring all conditions are verified accurately.
• Runbook Documentation: Create comprehensive runbooks to document each step of migration execution, focusing on timings, dependencies, and critical checkpoints.
• Validation of Migration Scenarios: Conduct and validate dry runs of migration processes to guarantee accuracy and identify potential issues.
• Data Handling and Analysis: Efficiently normalize and compare large datasets using tools you are proficient with (e.g., CSV, fixed-length files, Excel) to ensure data integrity across platforms.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to align testing efforts with project goals. Provide regular progress updates and report on testing outcomes.
• UAT Support: Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the new platform, adapting to the project’s needs and timeline.

Candidate Profile

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in testing migration strategies, including dry run validations.
  • Background in financial services, with a focus on transaction banking considered a plus.
  • Experience with IT platform transformation projects is preferred.
  • Proven ability to normalize and analyze large datasets.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in handling data formats (fixed-length files, CSV, Excel) and using tools to compare and validate data.
  • Strong skills in creating detailed and clear documentation, particularly runbooks.
• Soft Skills:
  • Methodical and detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate in a multi-lingual environment.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Effective team player with a high level of autonomy and commitment.

Requirements and Additional Information

• Languages: Sound knowledge of English, with a good command of at least one local language. Knowledge of French is preferred.
• Education: Master’s degree or equivalent by experience in IT, Engineering, Applied Economics, or related fields.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in data handling or IT testing are a plus.
• Travel: Occasional travel to Paris.
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with 40% on-site work and 60% remote.
