Test Manager

We're looking for an experienced Test Manager to join our client's team and take ownership of testing activities across a portfolio of projects. This consulting opportunity combines hands-on test leadership with stakeholder management, giving you the opportunity to work closely with project teams, business stakeholders, analysts, developers, and test engineers to ensure high-quality solutions that meet business and regulatory expectations.

The Role

As Test Manager, you will be responsible for defining the overall testing approach and coordinating testing activities throughout the full project lifecycle. You will act as the central point of contact for all testing-related matters and ensure that testing is structured, transparent, and aligned across teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining and implementing test strategies and test plans for major projects.
• Coordinating and overseeing testing activities across all project phases.
• Monitoring test execution, analyzing results, and reporting on quality, risks, and progress.
• Managing defects and following up on issues through to resolution.
• Providing clear updates, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
• Supporting governance and alignment of testing practices across different teams.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate

You have a strong functional understanding of software testing and test management, combined with proven experience coordinating testing activities in complex project environments. You are comfortable working with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and have hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including dashboards, work items, test case preparation and execution, as well as defect creation and follow-up. You also have some experience with Power BI and understand how reports are structured, generated, refreshed, and maintained to ensure accurate and consistent reporting.

You are a structured and analytical professional with strong leadership, organizational, and coordination skills. You communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and business audiences and take a proactive, collaborative approach to your work. An ISTQB Foundation certification is required. A solid IT background and previous experience within the insurance sector are considered an asset. A bachelor's or master's degree is expected. Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential.
