UX Architect

We’re looking for an experienced Product (UX/UI) Designer to join our client’s team as a hands-on expert. This is a senior, delivery-focused role for someone who thrives in complex software environments and enjoys working closely with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders. This is not a pure lead or advisory position: your impact will come from designing, prototyping, testing, and implementing high-quality digital products. To strengthen team collaboration, our client expects an on-site presence 3 days per week at offices conveniently located next to a major transport hub in Brussels.

Your role & responsibilities
As a core member of a multidisciplinary, agile delivery team, you will contribute directly to the success of one or more digital products:

• Design end-to-end UX for large-scale software applications, with a strong focus on usability, accessibility, and user-centered design

• Create wireframes, information architectures, and high-fidelity clickable prototypes, iterating based on user and stakeholder feedback

• Conduct and interpret qualitative and quantitative user research, usability tests, and feedback sessions

• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to guide discovery, ideation, and design decisions

• Define and evolve UX architectures and user journeys aligned with business and user goals

• Design intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces, aligned with an existing style guide, design system, and WCAG guidelines

• Collaborate actively in agile ceremonies (planning, refinements, demos, retrospectives) and contribute your technical expertise to ensure feasibility and quality

• Continuously develop and share knowledge of new tools, methods, and best practices within the team

The ideal candidate
Our client is looking for a true expert with a strong hands-on mindset and a passion for digital products:

• Higher education degree (short or long cycle) obtained from a recognized EU university or college (mandatory)

• 10+ years of hands-on UX design experience on large-scale software applications (50+ screens, 500+ users)

• 10+ years of hands-on UI design experience on complex software products

• 5+ years of experience with wireframing and clickable prototyping tools (preferably Figma)

• 5+ years of experience with design frameworks such as Design Thinking, Design Sprints, and DesignOps

• Strong background in interaction design, information architecture, and managing design systems

• Solid technical understanding, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; knowledge of Angular and TypeScript is a plus

• Proven experience integrating WCAG accessibility guidelines

• Comfortable working in large, agile delivery teams

• Strong problem-solving skills, able to propose alternatives and make well-reasoned design recommendations

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
