UX Designer

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced UX Designer to help shape intuitive digital experiences and continuously improve the user journey across its applications and websites. In this role, you will also play a key part in maintaining and evolving the design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and effective adoption across teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyse user needs and the surrounding context to define clear application requirements.
• Plan and support user research activities, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, and usability testing.
• Help recruit participants and gather the insights needed to inform design decisions.
• Create low- and high-fidelity interface designs using a mobile-first approach.
• Support analysts and developers in designing user interfaces that meet user and environmental expectations.
• Ensure visual and functional designs follow accessibility standards and UX/UI best practices.
• Maintain and further develop the design system, including components, patterns, and guidelines.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the design system and guide teams in using it correctly.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with stakeholders and the project team throughout the assignment.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with UX design, interface design, and design system management.
• Hands-on experience with Axure.
• Hands-on experience with Conceptboard.
• Hands-on experience with Figma.
• Hands-on experience with Mentimeter.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and accessibility requirements.

Profile

• Confirmed or experienced UX Designer with a strong track record in digital product design.
• Ability to work on both research and design activities, from needs analysis to interface delivery.
• Experience in designing, managing, and maintaining design systems.
• Comfortable collaborating with analysts, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and a structured, collaborative way of working.
• A portfolio is mandatory; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Practical Information

• Languages required: French and Dutch.
• English is also required.
• This is a long-term consulting opportunity.
