We're looking for a consultant to join our client's team to enhance their cybersecurity posture through effective vulnerability management. This role is vital for the ongoing digital transformation initiatives within the public sector, particularly focusing on the management of critical vulnerabilities across diverse IT environments.

Responsibilities and Objectives

The successful consultant will be tasked with:

  • Improving the long-term reduction of critical vulnerabilities across Linux, Windows, Middleware, and network environments.
  • Enhancing managerial visibility regarding detected vulnerabilities and their remediation processes.
  • Structuring the use of a central vulnerability management tool as a singular reference point.
  • Addressing identified organizational and operational issues related to current processes.

Key Tasks and Role

The consultant will be responsible for the transversal management of vulnerability processes that include:

  • Server environments, including Linux and Windows.
  • Middleware components, databases, applications, and associated infrastructures.
  • Coordination of remediation processes within the specified management tool.

This role extends beyond mere patching operations; it also encompasses oversight, coordination, and continuous improvement of the vulnerability management framework.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal consultant should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience in vulnerability management within complex environments.
  • Deep understanding of Vulnerability Management processes and tools.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams and effectively report on managerial metrics.
  • Prior experience with management tools, specifically in vulnerability response, is advantageous.
  • Language fluency in English and French is required.

Expected Deliverables

Deliverables from the consultant will include:

  • Consolidated dashboards for upper management tracking.
  • Reports outlining the status of critical vulnerabilities.
  • Recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Documentation to support the effective use of the vulnerability management tool.

In this role, you'll be contributing significantly to the cybersecurity framework of our client while engaging with various teams for optimal results.
