Function
Our client is looking for an experienced full-stack developer to contribute to a strategic modernization initiative focused on moving data and services away from legacy mainframe dependencies toward a more open and scalable architecture. The assignment offers the opportunity to work in an agile environment and help shape solutions that support data access, integration, analytics, and AI-enabled use cases.
Responsibilities
You will take part in the development and evolution of applications, APIs, and web services within the framework of the modernization program. Your work will combine technical analysis, design, and implementation, with a strong focus on interoperability, security, and performance.
- Develop and enhance applications, APIs, and web services supporting the migration of data to a modern open architecture.
- Design and build data exchange services and REST APIs to connect multiple applications.
- Contribute to the adaptation and enrichment of strategic solutions used for data access and operational support.
- Participate in the introduction of features related to data analysis, artificial intelligence, and intelligence-led operations.
- Support technical architecture decisions and collaborate closely with development colleagues to deliver robust and secure solutions.
Technical Skills
The role requires strong hands-on experience with the following technologies and practices:
- API and REST web services
- Software architecture
- Authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT-based tokens
- Containerization
- Design principles and design patterns
- JavaScript development
- PHP development
- DevOps practices, MLOps, and GitLab
- Application security and Security by Design
- SQL, NoSQL, and PostgreSQL
- Automated testing

Practical Information
This is a full-time consulting opportunity. The assignment is long-term and may be extended.
- Working regime: 40 hours per week
- On-site presence: at least 2 days per week, depending on tasks and in agreement with the team
- Telework: allowed from home or from the employer’s premises in Belgium
- Languages: French or Dutch, with passive understanding of the second national language required; English with active knowledge
